HOW TO STAY LOCKED IN DURING CPH HALF

It may be the most important race of the year for some. But there's alwasy another one. Stay hard. Stay focused. Who's gonna carry the boats? Chicago is four weeks away.


Thursday & Friday:

Work from home to optimize recovery and minimize social contact to reduce risk of sickness. Do a daily 10km easy jog.


Saturday:

Sleep in and have a light breakfast followed by a shake out run. Avoid large shake outs again to minimize social contact and risk of sickness. After the shake out get a proper carb-rich breakfast followed by a couple of movies on the couch. Fuel properly during the day and don’t move too much.


Sunday:

Get up at 06:30 and have breakfast and coffee. Leave for Fælledparken around 08:30 and get in around 3 km warm-up with some pick-ups. Race a controlled max effort and a 3km cooldown straight after to hit 27k for the day. Change to dry clothes and down a liter of whole milk. Go directly back home to optimize recovery and prepare for next week’s grind.
